Get The Bitch Off The !@#% Air, ABC!!!
Is she still on!?
Nooooo! WE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN!
Let Us Blame The Victim,
by all means!
{ b o y c o t t }
What's Elisabeth Hasselbeck still doin' on the air, ABC!?We know that we will make her appear endearing, evenpersecuted, to some inconsequentials and misguidersby our simply calling attention to her sexually deviant andoppressive humor (We assume she meant to be funny?)and the casualness and laudation with which our societyresponds to such pathetic deviancy - now, now, don't getweepy on us! Yes, this is a teaching moment, class, forespecially you "guys" in your ivory towers!
We always try to put political parties, nationalities, race...aside, and not judge each other by our polity as much aswe do, as a society, yet sometimes it is unavoidable.Let us judge severely, instead, the actions and verbiageof people toward their vulnerable neighbor. Bitchingabout politics is one thing, but mocking and reprimandingand blaming victims who have experienced personal andprivate trauma is quite tasteless, to say the very least!
We know that Hasselbeck likes to flaunt her politicalparty and her religiosity - for ratings. We get the picture. We know that God loves her best! This commentary isabout compounded trauma - the disrespect and abuseof the abused ...the underdog! Kicking people, literally, and even sometimes kicking people verbally, whenthey're down, is criminal! Uniquely and particularlyabhorrent is kicking people in the teeth verbally!
We are calling for a boycott of products advertised by
ABC until Elisabeth Hasselbeck is fired! It's a new day!
It's a new world! Victims and survivors are no longer
going to tolerate disrespect from the so-called elite.
We have to start somewhere, and we're sorry to say,
"Hasselbeck, you're it!" (At the end of this entry,
please see: notes)
NO! WE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN, ABC! & WE NEVER WILL! ...if you keep shoving her in our faces!
Every time we see, or think of, ABC's "The View," (Please see: Notes) or any of its hosts, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar... we NATURALLY, and hauntingly, will remember! It is simply the way life works! What'd you think we are? Morons? You're going to slap us in the face, and we're just gonna' forget about it?
We don't want to begin our priceless and precious days with Elisabeth, and her malicious remarks, on our minds! Expecting us to forget that infamous segment of "The View" is analogous to telling us to not remember the elephant in the room. Or, telling a rape victim to not remember the rapist. Across the globe, victims/survivors, and especially victims of sex crimes, and their loved ones, will remember every time they see Elisabeth Hasslebeck! Get rid of her! We don't care what her political party is, victims across the globe want her outta' there. Get her off the airwaves! Victims want her off of "The View!" She just has left a bad taste in our collective mouths! Get her off the air, ABC! We get depressed watching Elisabeth during our brunch; we require calmness and uplifting during brunch. The constant sound of her squeaky, staccato, chatter NOW makes our hearts palpitate, metaphorically, and even literally!
Or, we will simply refuse to buy the products that you advertise, ABC! It is simply the way Life works. Plenty of victims out there buyin' plenty of products! Life leaves few of us unscathed.
In fact...
With all due respect, Elisabeth sounds like she should get treated for A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder) if it's going to be an obstacle to her performance on television. {We're not sure if it's appropriate to say that? Oh, well, if anyone complains, we'll just give a teary apology, and say, "Oops, we made a mistake, we're SO sorry," and we WILL expect forgiveness! Kindly treat us like you treat Elisabeth!}
{An attorney-friend of "Watching The Watchers" told us recently that he has A.D.D. and he says, "It's a gift!" For us that was an educational, eye-opening, remark and we thank him for sharing.}
ABC, recently when Elisabeth had a day off from "The View," we realized how truly distracting her presence is! She NOW sounds sillier than ever. We picture the childish tattletale, Elisabeth, wide-eyed and breathless, running up to her Mommy, tugging at Mommy's shirt-tails, 'Mommy, Mommy, I have a cool joke about Erin...." We hate to say it: we almost kind of felt sorry for a broken Elisabeth. She looks "small" to us. And we cannot make her appear bigger. We don't respect her, anymore. What're ya' gonna' do? It is simply the way Life works!
For those of you who may not have heard of the imbecility (definitely a euphemism): Erin Andrews, a sideline reporter at ESPN sporting events (Please see: Notes), has been stalked and filmed for some time through the peepholes of the various hotel rooms that she stayed in while broadcasting sports events across the country. The stalker would call the hotels beforehand and was freely given a room next to Erin's room at which time he would proceed to finagle the peephole of the door of her room in order to videotape a naked Ms. Andrews preparing for bed. Then, a couple of weeks ago, Erin danced on the television program, "Dancing With The Stars" (Please see: Notes)
Erin told the judge at the hearing to give the stalker the harsher prison sentence of 5 years behind bars instead of the 2 1/2 years that he was given. The predator, of course, gave a teary apology, said he made a mistake, and skidaddled to psychological treatment. See, Elisabeth, you are all alike!!!
What's left for Erin and her family after the trauma: In short, her family - and especially Erin - will be re-traumatized every day for the rest of their lives because the stalker scattered his nude videos of Erin all over the Internet; he even tried to sell the videos to TMZ - that's one stupid stalker! Let us emphasize that Erin did nothing wrong, yet she is subjected to cruel taunts from sports fans when she works as a sideline reporter. People tell her she brought it on herself. Some imply that she was a party to the crime. She fears for her life every time she enters a hotel. She suffers from humiliation, nightmares, fear, and anxiety.... ESPN has had to pay for extra security for Erin and has incurred heavy losses from assissting the government in its investigation. The authorities think that the stalker filmed 16 other women.
And, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a Republican and the token religious zealot on the late morning television program, "The View," thinks this is funny; albeit, we're not certain how funny she thinks it is, today, since we hope that her job is somewhat in jeopardy - now, now, don't get weepy on us. Republicans say that the media is always picking on them; well, perhaps there's alot to pick on?
With one quip of her foul mouth, on May 4, 2010, Elisabeth mentored the stalker-predator from her ivory tower at ABC's "The View" with encouragement like, "Oh, don't be a stupid pervert! Nothin' we hate more than a stupid pervert! Don't go to jail for stalking and taking pictures of a gorgeous nude sportscaster through a peephole! Just be patient! Wait! You can see the same nude Erin on 'Dancing With The Stars' and get the same thrill," or something to that effect. Don't hold us to the exact syllable. After that advice and counsel to the man who stalked Erin Andrews, the audience of "The View" laughed wholeheartedly; yet, for some odd reason, we don't think that the world audience was laughing with them in unison! Although, we're pretty sure that the audience was somewhat taken aback and laughed out of sheer discomfort - nervous laughter.
We take that back, on 2nd thought, it wasn't a quip, we saw another clip of the incident and we realized that the camera really closed in, and stayed focused, on Elisabeth's face for what-seemed-like a long time; she told a whole little story about the convicted felon. What glee on her face as she told it! She looked absolutely childish - like a kid running up to her Mommy, tugging on Mommy's apron strings, and breathily telling her silly side of something or other. {We know we're repeating ourselves. We just haven't decided which one of these sentences to take out yet. Although, the last sentence about Mommy does bear repeating.}
ABC, your show, "The View," is now tainted! It must seem miniscule to you, ABC, because we still see a haughty Elisabeth on the air. Any one who makes fun of crimes, expecially crimes of a sexual nature which annihilate the very sexuality, the feelings of safety, the utter being of another/a neighbor, says volumes about the joker. In every such joke and utterance is some tinge of truth about the jokester - makes her equal to the stalker-predator! Dah! Who would think of that!? NEVER IN OUR WILDEST DREAMS would Elisabeth Hasselbeck's wisecracks have occurred to us! It must have been on her mind the whole evening after "Dancing With The Stars" and the next morn; we think she couldn't wait "to share" on "The View." We don't think her beliefs and thoughts about a naked Erin just came to her out of the clear blue on the show - under pressure. We'll even go as far as to say that she wrote her joke down. The hosts prepare for those shows together and, alone, in the privacy of their minds. They're always thinking about how to boost their ratings. We envision her up all night, tossing-n-turning, salivating at the thought of "sharing" the cool joke about Erin and anticipating the boost to her ratings and overall appeal. We get the ratings picture!
Just about every person on the planet has watched, "Dancing With The Stars," one of the television programs that America copied from Great Britain, and we have all observed the beautifully, yet scantily, clad female dancers on the program, and most of us haven't given the costumes of the dancers much of a thought besides admiration for them. We admire beauty in all its forms. Most of us are too busy watching the swift dance moves.
And in comes, Ms Hasselbeck merely, and haughtily, reprimanding the beautiful Erin Andrews who was stalked and filmed by a positively normal-looking pervert-criminal whose friends and neighbors, if asked, would more than likely say, "...Gee, whillikers, we didn't think he could hurt a fly, he seemed like such a nice guy. He seemed like he didn't have a mean bone in his body...."
GLARING OBSERVATION #1: (We totally hesitate to compliment because, as soon as we do, people disappoint!) We know that Joy Behar, who we adore, has described Ms. Hasselbeck with the words, "Elisabeth is a Republican. Yes, we disagree, but Elisabeth doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She couldn't hurt a fly" (or a flea?)
Well, Joy - your Elisabeth hurt more than a fly or a flea. She hurt multitudinous fleas across the globe. We've all heard of murderers... for example, that have been spoken of as highly by their friends and neighbors, "...By golly, we just didn't think he could hurt a flea. He was always so kind and gentle...." We hear these kinds of assessments in the news continually about murderers and sexual deviants - now, now don't start feeling sorry for a brazen Elisabeth like we knew you would. She's a big girl. She gets the big bucks to be critiqued by her public. She laughs all the way to the bank. Think, instead, of the victims that SHE hurt!!! We, survivors of trauma, will not be silenced! Don't protect your abusers!
We have also heard countless times how the friends and relatives of other criminals - rapists, pedophiles... describe theses perpetrators with, "Gee, whiz, we didn't think he could hurt a fly, he seemed like such a good guy. He seemed like he didn't have a mean bone in his body...."
JUST A COUPLE of real recent examples:
~ We heard such accolades about the murderer of Yeardley Love, the beautiful lacrosse player from the University of Virginia that was recently murdered. "...Yeah, he drank a little, but he was such a nice guy. He wouldn't hurt a flea...."
~ We heard such accolades the other day about the 40 year-old African-American teacher in Texas who was caught on tape severely beating up a 13 year-old male student for making fun of a classmate. She has, of course, tearfully and quickly apologized for "her mistake." Well, normal people simply don't go around making such vile mistakes! Our point is: She is a teacher that "...has received two 'Teacher of the Year' awards... she couldn't hurt a flea... she doesn't have a mean bone in her body...."
Besides, "I made a mistake," being this Texas teacher's defense, she also contended that, "There's plenty of blame to go around." This response to her pugilism is laughable. What are we? Morons? Hm-hm, we understand. We get the picture. Well, at least she got fired!!!
Another teacher witnessed the violent episode but did not report it - She resigned!!!
("Watching The Watchers" is much too generous!) We respect these two women and their bosses, at least, for that - albeit we know they didn't have much of a choice. ABC, we implore you, employ the same discipline and honor with your employees in your ivory tower. DO UNTO THEM AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO THE AVERAGE CITIZEN!
~ We heard accolades about the religious zealot Dr. George A. Rekers, Ph.D., who recently resigned from his "prestigious-in-religious-circles" post at the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH). George got caught on a long vacation with a male prostitute; George said he paid the prostitute to give him a massage every day.... And, um, uh, to carry George's suitcases. Don't hotels and airports have people who do that for you? Just askin'
That's what Hasselbeck should do, she should resign. If she had any shame, or scruples, or integrity, she would step down from her position as co-host of "The View." What audacity it must take to think that she should just be forgiven by millions of victims of sex crimes just like that! Poof! Because, she's who!? Irreplaceable? Such a good role model?
GLARING OBSERVATION #2: "The man doth protest too much, me thinks, George!" is our response and reaction to Rekers' sexuality. (Please see: Notes) He is accused of being gay which he vehemently denies! He is promulgating violently that he is not gay! That's pretty insulting to gays! So what if you are gay, George! Oh, we get the picture! Wouldn't look good. You would be somewhat of a hypocrite then. We haven't read NARTH's website but, judging by the title, we can only surmise that NARTH is attempting to cure homosexuality. Gotch ya! Who would have made up such an industry within our capitalism - curing gay people? Picture us shaking our heads - we commend you for your "creativity" and "ingenuity." Not.
Adorable 28 year-old county-n-western singer, Chely Wright, was a guest on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on May 19, 2010. Chely revealed that, up until two weeks ago, she objected vehemently, brashly, loudly, perhaps even abusively, whenever she heard of another's homosexuality, so people wouldn't suspect her of lesbianism. We all get that picture! Since her childhood she knew that she is a lesbian and last year she put a gun in her mouth because she could no longer take the lying, the years of the layering of shame, guilt, fear.... She's the 1st country-n-western singer to come out of the gay closet; she had to do it for her literal, physical, survival and she felt it her duty to others since she is in that position of power that we're speaking of in this blog. Only two singers reached out to Chely since she came out, and there is always the chance that her fessing up to being a lesbian will ruin her career. If you are in the closet, George, perhaps you better stay there?
GLARING OBSERVATION #3: Why is there a whole website and whole ASSOCIATION dedicated to the research and therapy of homosexuality? What an insult to gays! There are no homosexual associations researching and investigating heterosexuals. There are no associations attempting to change and cure people with blue eyes. These religious zealots make homosexuality sound like a disease that requires research and therapy, curing and changing.
How do we figure that the manner in which our neighbors use their sexual organs is our business? God commanded that we not covet anything belonging to our neighbor and that we treat our neighbor as ourselves; nowhere have we seen that God said to dip in your neighbors' personal and private bedroom activities. What audacity it must take to, like a parent, try and make your adult neighbors live their lives the way you think they should live and love Life!? What audacity it must take to think that God loves you best!?
EXAMPLE: We love our friends. Don't we? Some we love alot! Gore Vidal is an American author, playright, essayist, screenwriter, and political activist. Early in his career, he wrote "The City and The Pillar (1948) which outraged mainstream critics as one of the 1st major American novels to feature unambiguous sexuality. He had relationships with men and women. Gore and his male partner (deceased since 2005) had been together since 1950 and will be buried together. Gore said recently on "The Joy Behar Show" (HLN) that he and his long-time male partner had never engaged in the sex act with each other. Some people are asexual. Some people have an aversion to sex. The audacity it must take to expect an incestual explanation of the bedroom activities of these men, for instance.
Why don't the boldly brazen and arrogant religious zealots, like George, go and live in Iran? President Ahmadinejad says there are no homosexuals in his country! Scared, George?
We could rest out case right here, but please bear with us. Let us not sway from Elsabeth Hasselbeck.
We think that the other co-hosts of "The View" went, "Gulp!" when Elisabeth directed the crude remarks to the predator that stalked Erin. Don't you? Quite frankly, we don't know how Elisabeth Hasselbeck showed her face the next day on "The View." The bright-eyed and bush-tailed manner in which she just casually sauntered onto the set of "The View" the day after making the venomous remarks about victims of sex crimes was just as insulting as her remarks about victims, if not more insulting!
Judging by her vivacity after the slap in the face (a euphemism to millions of victims and their families and friends), it looks like Elisabeth has just picked herself up, brushed herself off, and is back into reveling on "The View." It just doesn't feel right, ABC! We understand that "a sinner in her Catholicism is given a penance," by another human being (a priest) who could easily be a pervert or pedophile. The sinner is given a punishment of sorts, like, "Say 5 Our Fathers and 10 Hail Marys, my child, and go on your merry way." (Please see: Notes) Reminds us of the self-flagellation that early Catholics practiced which was aptly depicted in the movie, "The DaVinci Code." In our opinion, self-flagellation is sexual in nature, as we know domestic violence has that sexual component for the abuser. (The batterer is a sexual pervert! We bet you didn't know that.) Religious zealots of the past were some real sick puppies. We're wondering what the penance is for murder? The recitation of the rosary?
Since Elisabeth the Elitist is a public figure, ABC, shouldn't her penance be public, also? We want to know that she won't sin, again, by abusing victims of sex crimes. We know that within Catholicism even thinking "bad thoughts" is a sin. Certainly, uttering our bad thoughts must be a bigger sin? Or has that changed? Get her off the air! WE DON'T RESPECT HER! It doesn't seem right that she should be flaunting her ecstacy on "The View" while victims remember how they were slapped by her. She should have been in tears.
GLARING OBSERVATION #4: Well, uh, oh, that's right, she was in tears. Wasn't she? The ole' tears trick! Elisabeth's handlers are not so dumb; we're sure that they knew right away that she goofed (sinned). Elisabeth's quick and teary apology the next day was meant to pejoratively, condescendingly, remind us, "We all say stupid things," but we think that Elisabeth did more than make a stupid remark. Her sewerlike humor and beliefs and her cruel expression of them on daytime television was only exceeded by her elitist and arrogant attempt to whitewash her hurtful wisecracks with a couple-second teary apology and imbecilic anecdote about her daughter questioning Elisabeth, "Why is Mommy sad?" This is an insult to the intelligence of a devoted and intelligent public who faithfully watch "The View." (We warn you, Elisabeth has quite an imagination.)
The answer to "Why is Mommy sad?" was "Mommy hurt somebody." We think this anecdote is pure fabrication. After all, Elisabeth has shown that she has quite a prolific, albeit, gutterlike imagination. We all recognize a slippery bullshit artist when we hear one. (Forgive us, it IS in the dictionary.) Well, yeah, we'd all be REAL sad, too, if hundreds of thousands of dollars was at stake - her paycheck. We'd be upset if our reputations were at stake, too.
"I listened," was Erin's skillful and kind evasion of Larry King's question (Please see: Notes) the other day when he asked if she forgave Elisabeth after the weepy apology, "... making light of a convicted felon is not funny!" In a different venue, Erin summed up Elisabeth's "joke" with, "It is a slap in the face to victims across the globe." So we ask you, ABC, if the victim is not forgiving so fast, why should the rest of the world!? So, Elisabeth could get a good salary? She's not so special at all. Plenty of better people than Hasselbeck waiting in the wings for her job! It's pretty pitiful, ABC, if that's the best you got! We know some pretty savvy and empathic individuals who would gladly volunteer.
GLARING OBSERVATION #5: It all reeks of common evilness! We wouldn't make such a big production about Ms. Hasselbeck's imbecility but when the religious right, our illustrious Republican friends, Conservatives... purport themselves/ourselves to be SO, how shall we say - RELIGIOUS - CHRISTIAN - prim and proper, so RIGHT (pardon the pun), we simply feel obliged to call them on it! There is nothing we reject more than hypocrisy! We know that God loves them best! They have a particular closeness to God that the rest of us don't have. If the religious right was just a little more humble (as their Christianity/Catholicism commands them to be), we wouldn't make nearly as big a production. We just simply don't think that Jesus meant for His religion to get as imbecilic as it has gotten! You'll certainly agree? For instance, look at all the pedophile-priests and dishonorable bishops that "...wouldn't hurt a flea, they're so nice... holy even...."
GLARING OBSERVATION #6: And, please, don't give us the schtick about, "We are all sinners." That's one of "their" favorites. Yes, most of us are; but, most of us are not AS sinful! In point of fact, many of us are not sinful. We emphatically reject that brainwashing, indoctrination, "We are all sinners!" Let us not get sidetracked; that's a whole disparate dissertation.
GLARING OBSERVATION #7: Does there seem to be more flagrant sinners amongst the religious zealots who flaunt their religiosity? Just askin'
Every time victims and their loved ones - prolific and numerous consumers - will see Erin Andrews at a fun sports event, we're always going to remember the slap in the face - and we don't want to be reminded! We want Elisabeth fired! Then we'll know we got justice! Treat Elisabeth like you (society) treat and have treated other women! Paste a !@#% scarlet letter on her bosom! WE WANT JUSTICE! (This is Nancy Grace's motto. Please see: Notes)
As we have stated, all of us make mistakes and most of us say stupid remarks but, in our wildest dreams, or our wildest imbecility and stupidity, would we have dreamed of saying, especially, to a victim of a horrendously scary sexual crime, "You asked for it," or "It's your fault," or "You keep dressin' like that and you're liable to bring it on, again." Nor would we imply that victims are responsible for their own victimization. Nor would we make jokes about it. The idea of there being a correlation, or a funny correlation, between Erin's clothing and stalking is perverted. But, then, that's us. Perhaps, we're not religious enough? Or RIGHT, enough? (Pardon the pun.)
GLARING OBSERVATION #8: We're wondering why the beautiful female dancers on "Dancing With The Stars" flaunt their scantily-clad physiques while fully-clothed male dancers flaunt THEIR wares in $2000 debonair, custom-made, silk suits and expensive shirts and ties? The lopsided exposition seems somewhat outta' whack - a caricature or cartoon or animation of "the custom-made suit dancing with an object, a naked blowup doll, dripping from just having showered" comes to mind. Why allow this double standard, ladies? It doesn't seem right. We're just askin' Above our paygrade is IMAGINING ONE OF THOSE FOOTBALL PLAYERS, NEARLY-NAKED, PRANCING TO THE STEPS OF A CHA-CHA... and his partner fully clothed. They'd look pretty silly! And VULNERABLE! Laughable! Perverted! Yet, you have made this the norm, "Dancing With The Stars." How about if we don't watch you anymore, either? Or, buy the products that you advertise? How would you like that? Yes, plenty of women out there buy your products!
Actually, we admire the beautiful costumes of the women very much. We just find most of our societal mores and societal quirks, societal norms - how shall we say - i n t e r e s t i n g ? We don't have the answers. We're just askin'
GLARING OBSERVATION #9: This observation really irks us! We'd like to slip it in right here; it fits in because Elisabeth is a parent of 4 children. And because it's always on our minds, in general. Hasselbeck has shown us that she is cheap and common. ("The View" is not meant to be on-the-job honing, training, in integrity.) Besides our not respecting people who hide behind religion, we also notice, in our society, that all one needs to do is have kids [either naturally by birth or unnaturally by adoption (Please see: Notes)] and HE, OR SHE, GAINS MUCHO RESPECT - RESPECTABILITY, no matter what kind of jerk he, or she, is! Childless individuals? - NOT SO MUCH!
GLARING OBSERVATION #10: The religious right is quick to preach, "Forgive." Well! We just don't feel like it! We're always forgiving and you, all, are always offending! Why is that?
GLARING OBSERVATION #11: What's up with our Irish friends? Let us preface this by saying that there is good and bad in all races, ethnicities... and we pretty much like Bill O'Reilly of Fox News alot. BUT? For instance, does it seem like the talk-show circuit - especially the hate airwaves - is/are dominated by vitriolic, Irish-American, Catholic, talk-show hosts whose only job is to make money by polarizing our society? They spread hate - they separate us - and make big bucks doing it! And, German-Americans, too? Just askin'
While Barbara Walters (Please see: Notes) of "The View" is recovering from heart valve surgery, the "Ladies of The View" each day have a "guy-friend" as a co-host. On May 19, 2010, the guy-friend was Andre Leon Talley, former editor-at-large and current Contributing Editor for "Vogue" magazine. The topic of the day was Jonathan Rhys Meyers, an Irish actor and model. Evidently, during an airline flight, a drunken Meyers said the n-word. Meyers quickly went into alcohol rehab!
The African-American Talley stated quickly and adamantly, "MEYERS SHOULD LOSE HIS GIG!" and ALL "THE LADIES OF THE VIEW" LOUDLY & DOGGEDLY AGREED that Meyers should lose his job! We're curious what was Elisabeth thinking at the time?
Well, ladies, what exactly do you take us for? Idiots? We haven't forgotten! Just days ago, you accepted Hasselbeck's vitriol without any consequences! Follow your own advice: ELISABETH SHOULD LOSE HER GIG! You said it! Being victims of sex crimes is slightly more traumatic than hearing the n-word. Wouldn't you say? So, you see, this whole blog post, "Get The Bitch Off The !@#$% Air, ABC!" is not so farfetched. You agree with us! Elisabeth should be fired!
Stand up, survivors! And loved ones! (That means most of us.) Be heard! Don't just sit there and reward your oppressors (the advertisers...)! You have power! Don't buy the products until ABC gets rid of Elisabeth! These people work for you! Take more of your power back! Adopt Maya Angelou's super motto as your own: WHEN SOMEONE SHOWS YOU WHO THEY ARE, BELIEVE THEM THE 1ST TIME!
SUMMARY: As we have stated, we would not make such a big stink about this whole gallimaufry but how much hypocrisy anent religion can we take? A friend of "Watching The Watchers" told us of her innocent attempt at avoiding potential offensive breath in high school by chewing gum for which she received one detention. She describes herself as "having been 'a good kid,'" who served the detention-punishment the following Saturday at which time she walked alongside a huge and towering, spooky, nun who arrogantly quipped, "Ahhhhh, yes, God even gets the worst of you!" Whaaat!? This young child truly couldn't have hurt a flea yet she was spoken to as one would address a convicted murderer in a courtroom. All children want is approval and mentoring. This Catholic nun should have been fired!
We say the same thing to the aforementioned deviants, you know who you are, Elisabeth, George..., "God even gets the wort of YOU!" We observe so often the UNINTENDED manner in which the righteous and religious reveal their true selves, inevitably and unintentionally. THERE IS JUSTICE! Eventually! Survivors, just sit back and relax and watch the destruction! We're confident, quite confident, in fact, that the "worst of you" will show your true selves eventually! It is simply the way Life works!
Lastly - GLARING OBSERVATION #12: The relationship between the television viewer, the television audience, and ABC and its advertisers is not a relationship of, let's say, a couple of friends, or a married couple, who are encouraged by their religions and societal aphorisms to "forgive quickly." It's not quite so simple. We don't think God said, "Forgive your television networks, producers, and affiliates quickly... for 'they know not what they do.'" Where is your company's social responsibility, ABC!? Hasselbeck is in a position of power and prominence. The ladies of "The View" are looked up to - role models. They are influential whether they want to be or not. Females want to emulate them. There is a tradeoff for the privilege of entertaining us and being our role models AND getting paid the big bucks! WE ARE YOUR BOSSES! We will no longer allow prominent marital-cheaters, whoremongers, financial crooks, prostitute-buyers, womanizers, pedophiles, so-called misspeakers, and verbal abusers... to "make mistakes," "say stupid things," and cry "forgive me as I flee to rehab," while they get rich off of us! There are plenty of talented, decent people waiting in the wings for the privilege of entertaining us. Let us not forgive so quickly! There must be consequences for these privileged like there are consequences for children and average adult citizens. Let's start by weeding out our poor role models. And, we promise you - This world will be a better place!
Well, we misspoke (The verb, misspoke, is the current apology for "mistakes" amongst the elite.).
We do have another espial that we'd like to share with the bloggers of the world (THANK YOU for your patience!):
On his last "The Celebrity Apprentice," (Please see: Notes) Donald Trump asked one of the participants, Maria Kanellis, former "Wild World of Wrestling" diva, singer, songwriter, model, and actress, "Why don't you like Curtis Stone?" (Stone is an Australian celebrity chef and a current participant in the show?) Trump asked and Maria answered honestly, "I don't like uncouth Curtis because he rudely came into our room, evacuated his bowels, and left his horrific stench!" Aren't there enough other bathrooms in Trump Towers? (Please see: Notes)
Maria was then punished for her honesty! "This is my office, not a locker room!" Trump scolded Maria for being honest and for not protecting her abuser, her disrespecter. Do you like "disrespecter" better? Then Trump fired her! We're confused. Didn't Trump want an honest answer? We don't think people should be fired for their honesty! Another participant of the same show, Sharon Osbourne, music manager, promoter, author, television personality, and wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, said that she, too, detests the Australian chef. For the same reason? Would she, also, have been fired if she had spoken up honestly?
We commend and thank Maria Kanellis profusely for having the courage to tell THAT truth! We were dying! (to know why two savvy, powerful, women like Maria and Sharon disliked the Australian chef so much) Yessss! Victims ~ & survivors ~ are not going to cover for our abusers anymore! Victims aren't gonna' protect the rude, inconsiderate, offensive disrespecters and bullies NO MORE! (grammar: yep, we are aware of the double negative in our previous sentence.)
The American Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and Emmy Award-winning actress, Cindy Lauper, another celebrity on "The Celebrity Apprentice" at the same time, was also fired for being too honest during an episode. Ivanka, Donald, and Trump's oldest son questioned why she was so honest in business. Huh!?
Why should we expect any less from ABC? We implore you, ABC, "The View" is not a locker room! What's good for "The Donald" (Please see: Notes) is good for "The View."
How many different ways must we say it, ABC!? "The View"- ers have been violated! In the words of The Donald, tell Elisabeth, "You're fired!!!" (Trump said he is attempting to get the phrase "You're fired" copywrited. Doesn't he mean "trademarked?" Just askin')
Summary of our current 12 "GLARING OBSERVATIONS":
- #1 Elisabeth Hasselbeck couldn't hurt a fly or a flea?
- #2 Me thinks George Rekers protests too much about not being gay?
- #3 The natural differences of people like, homosexuality, blue eyes ....
- #4 A handy defense: We all say stupid things? Not that stupid, though.
- #5 Do Christians arrogantly purport themselves to be "The Chosen Ones"?
- #6 A handy defense: We are all sinners?
- #7 Does it seem like there are more flagrant sinners amongst the religious right?
- #8 Female vs male nudity in our society
- #9 Just have kids & you'll get respect no matter what kind of jerk you are!
- #10 Forgive quickly? We don't think so!
- #11 Do Irish-American Catholics dominate the hate airwaves?
- #12 What is a company's social responsibility?
notes:
* We supercolossally and profusely apologize, and humbly request your forgiveness, for the language in the title of this entry BUT we had to get your prompt attention due to the importance and urgency of our cause! We firmly believe that "our cause" outweighs "the vulgarity." Although the term, bitch, merely means "a female dog," it has a nasty connotation in the United States. THANK YOU for understanding!
Actually, we think FEMALE DOGS SHOULD BE INSULTED for the nasty connotation that the United States has given THEM! Is this another product of our illustrious patriarchal past? Thanks idiotic patriarchs!
* ABC is the abbreviation for the American Broadcasting Company. It is an American television network created in 1943 and owned by the Walt Disney Company.
* The term, unnatural, means "not provided by God or nature."
* "The View" is an American talk show co-created and co-produced by Barbara Walters which debuted in 1997 and has had 10 co-hosts. Barbara Walters and Joy Behar are the only original co-hosts that are still on the program.
* "Dancing With The Stars" is a group of international television series that America copied from Great Britain.
* "The man doth protest too much, me thinks, is a quote from (Britain) William Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark," a romance tragedy composed between 1600 and the summer of 1602.
* Nancy Grace is an attorney with her own crime talk show on HLN television station and the motto of her show is, "We want justice!" HLN, formerly known as CNN Headline News and CNN2 is a cable television news channel based in the United states. It is a spinoff of the original cable news channel, CNN, which we adore. (Please keep in mind that we've been, metaphorically, kicked in the teeth so often right after we compliment that we hesitate to compliment.)
* Larry King is the host of his eponymous nightly American talk show, "Larry King Live" on CNN which debuted in 1985. (In 2010, the show will celebrate its 25th anniversary.)
* ESPN is the trademark for Entertainment Sports Network, an American cable television channel.
* "Our Father" and "Hail Mary" are Catholic prayers.
* The 12 "GLARING OBSERVATIONS" are, by no means, ALL of our observations. (But how much can we ask you to read in one sitting? Thank you so much for reading!) These observations are simply the ones that have currently jumped out at us; these types of injustices can hardly be avoided or ignored but they are ignored when people are so busy living their lives - just trying to survive. We understand and don't blame people for living busy lives. These observations shouted out to us and we feel obligated to broadcast them in our attempt to repair the world. We'll Watch The Watchers for you since we know you're busy!
* "The Celebrity Apprentice" is a reality television series about entrepreneurship created by billionaire Donald Trump.
* "Trump Towers" is a skyscraper/building in New York City owned by Donald Trump.
* "The Donald" is the endearing nickname that people have given billionaire Donald Trump.
conclusion:
ABC, we expect you'll act quickly - graciously & empathically - to step up your social responsibility as a company and say to us and to your public, "Well, since you put it that way...."

God does not love her most. God loves us all equally. I do feel that she is sexual in her commentary, but singling her out is not the solution. Maybe they should have an equal number of people from both political parties, that way she will not need to "compete" for talking time.
