Obama's Bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia

President Obama's greeting (bow) in supposed deference to King Abdullah a day, or two, ago, as I see it, was a thoughtful and gentle gesture of reparation (repairing) of the centuries-long discount of the Arabic people by the United States.

(He was exhibiting a little respect to the King's people!  Let us not all get into a tizzy!  We have bigger fish to fry, as they say!)

So what if he bowed!  It takes a VERY STRONG individual to "elevate" another!  I've done it my whole life.  I have had to - actually, I have learned to - "adjust myself" to various types of people and their diverse backgrounds, classes, education, religous affiliations... in order to be accepted/fit in.  If one doesn't do that, then one lives somewhat of a shallow existence, steadfastly residing/functioning within the parameter of one's own "clique," so to speak.  That's no fun!  Nor is it a full life!  For extreme instance, I would not talk to a gang member in PhD-speak!

I view states, countries, groups... as "gangs."  What simple concept would a typical gang member most likely kill you over?  What is the one most likely reason that a gang member will splatter your brains from here to kingdom come?  The answer is very basic and primitive:  Respect!  Or, disrespect!  "Don't dis me!"  A gang member will kill you for disrespecting him, or her!

I attribute this same gang mentality, if you will, to Arab countries, to Asian countries, to all countries, states, or groups....  Disrespect can take on many and severe faces/definitions/forms.  Strictly for example, the Palestinians may, very basicly, perhaps, even unconsciously, consider the forming of the state of Israel  "disrespectful."  The United States went to war with Iraq because of Saddam Hussein's "disrepect" of  (supposedly) building weapons of mass destruction.  I portend that it would have been extremely "disrespectul" for Saddam to bomb America!

What kind of a President do you want?  A braggadocian President who will enter someone else's country, or state, and expect to be accepted!?  I mean, come on, how ridiculous is that!?

I think the President is super smart!  His people-skills are fine-tuned and formidable!  He knows just what to say and do at any given moment.  He's a natural!

I completely disagree with Miss Manners.  ( Who is she, anyway!?)  She says that somehow the King now has power over the President of the United States simply because of that one bow - President Obama is now under the hypnotic trance of King Abdullah!  Ooooh!  What's gonna' happen now!?  Silly!

It all goes back to the old adage (This is an old adage that I can live with/condone.), "When in Rome, do like the Romans!"

The manner in which you/we decipher every word that the President utters and every move that he makes is pitiful!  Why don't you people leave the man alone!?

I take that back, in fact.  Keep up the good work!  You give me a cause:

                                         WATCHING THE WATCHERS!

                           Expect Miracles!
