The other week Meghan McCain, the 24 year-old daughter of Senator John McCain, and Cindy McCain, was a guest on "Larry King Live" promulgating her belief that our President is bordering on being overexposed in the media, or the limelight?   "Excuse me!?  Isn't that what the President is supposed to be doing?  Constantly being in touch with the people?  Connecting with his people?  Keeping the country in the loop as to happenings in the White House?  Testing the waters?  Evaluating whether he's "doing the right thing?"  Or, should he just pick and choose the issues we should know about?  Huh!?

Does Meghan mean he should be more of a homebody?  He should stay in the White House where he belongs?  With his family?  Perhaps, watch a little more television?  Or, play a bit more basketball?  Bowling, perhaps?

With all due respect to Meghan, what does SHE know about Presidential exposure to the public!?  Was she ever the President of a country?  What are her credentials with respect to Presidential exposure?

Meghan is not alone.  People also asseverated that the President couldn't go on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" for five minutes and run the country at the same time; that's insultingly analogous to "the President can't walk and chew gum at the same time!"

Personally, I would like to see (He's easy and fun to look at.) and know everything that my President (well, this one, anyway) is up to, but then, that's me.  I find the politics of my country as it relates to the world fascinating!  When I hear, and see, him, and our other leaders, I learn.  I become edified!  A very exciting time is 2009!  Especially, the First Couple make it a very exhilarative epoch!

Barack and Michelle are two of our best role models, if not the best!  And we can never be OVERexposed to good role models!  As a nation, we desperately seek role models to emulate!

I even become somewhat angry/annoyed when I have to, for instance, celebrate a holiday, or attend a meeting, and I miss some of President Obama's televisionization (That's not a word, yet, but I portend that it will be soon.).  I mean, I would like the holiday and the meeting, but not when President Obama speaks!   

We think that it is Meghan McCain who is overexposed in the media!
